Glenn van Straalen has ended the seventh round of the FIM World Supersport Championship at the Misano World Circuit – Marco Simoncelli in Italy in twentieth place. Glenn started from row nine on the grid and was able to improve a couple of places in the first part of the race. But when the race progressed, he wasn’t able to hold the same race pace as the riders in front of him and he finished the race outside the World Championship points unfortunately. Luckily in two weeks’ time, he will get another opportunity as the World Supersport Championship will visit Donington Park in England, the last race before the summer break.
Glenn: “It was a difficult race. I won some positions after the start I and was in the right group. After that I made a mistake and I lost the connection with them. We didn’t had the right pace the whole weekend and I was unable to close the gap in the race. We had a difficult weekend from Friday. But we ended the race and that’s important for our confidence. We will ty to find speed again at Donington Park!”
