Glenn van Straalen has finished his first ever World Supersport race at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand just outside the points as he crossed the line in sixteenth place. The race was held under tropical conditions and therefore, it was a big challenge for both man and machine. Glenn had a difficult start aboard his EAB Racing Team Kawasaki ZX-6R but improved over the course of the race, although he wasn’t able to score points like he did in the first race in Australia. Despite this minor setback, Glenn looks forward to the next race at Aragon in Spain in three weeks’ time. A track he knows very well!
Glenn: “I lost a good result during the first laps, because I was too far after the start. I was faster than the riders in front of me, but it took me too long before I passed them. From that moment it was a lonely race for a long time and that’s hard in these circumstances. Luckily in the last lap I won the fight for P16. It was my first time here in Thailand and we learned a lot this weekend. I’m looking forward to racing in Europe!”
