Alex Schacht has scored a fifteenth place in today’s penultimate European Superstock 1000 race at Magny-Cours in France. The EAB Schacht Racing Team rider started from nineteenth on the grid and improved to seventeenth in the early stages of the race aboard his Ducati Panigale R. At the end he was close to end the race in fourteenth but Alex had to be satisfied with fifteenth after some difficulties because of a technical problem.

In the championship Alex and his EAB Schacht Racing Team are in fifteenth place with twenty points.

The Superstock 1000 European Championship riders will be back on track at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain from October 20 – 22. That will be a special event as it is the last race of the year.

Alex: “It was indeed not an easy weekend at all, but at the end we can be satisfied with the result. I had a good start and was able to improve my best lap of the weekend by one second. In the race! But with five laps to go we were hampered by an engine problem. Because of that it was hard to end the race because I had some top speed issues and it was also hard to keep my left foot at the foot peg. To score a point in this circumstances isn’t that bad. Up next is Jerez and I’m looking really forward to this race!”
